Job Duties

Job Purpose

The communications assistant will assist with communications needs including web content and graphic duties related to a possible CUC name change.

Essential Functions

• Assists in writing a range communications materials, both for print and digital usage, using appealing graphics that are well organized
• Ability to exercise good judgment when interpreting instructions and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• Collaborate with all members of the CUC communications department (communications, design and web development)
• Work well with CUC staff and help identify and refine their communications needs.
• A self-starter who is motivated and equipped with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Utilize strong written skills to assist in the development of effective visual ideas from concept through to completion
• Assist with graphic projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned


Required Education Summary

• Some college coursework in communications and/or marketing

Work Schedule

This position is approximately 25 to 35 hours per week with work schedule to be determined by the supervisor. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the organization or business unit.
